In memory of
Martin James Flynn
3/3/1956 – 22/10/2008
It’s with deep sadness we write to tell you that, Martin Flynn, sadly passed away on Wednesday 22nd October 2008 in the early hours of the morning.
He was made comfortable for his last hours but never regained consciousness.
Martin had been in ICU at the University Hospital of Geneva for over a month after suffering a heart attack. His loved ones were with him when he passed away at the time telling him he loved him and that all of us around the world were thinking of him.
I’m sure all of you will remember Martin for his more than colorful ways and beliefs which made Martin the man he was, a truly respected and well remembered unique activist/journalist within the HIV community for many years.
With Martins passing the world seems to have become a little less colourful.
He will be missed by all of us here at Positive Nation and the IAS secretariat where he had just started his new job,
I hope we all remain inspired by his passion, dedication and spirit and the work he did in the community and across the globe.
