International Conferences of People Living with HIV/Aids PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 28 August 2005
GNP+ has been organizing International Conferences for People Living with HIV/AIDS since 1987. The GNP+ conference is in many ways unique, being a conference by and for PLWHA. The conference generally is a show case of the state of the art within the grass roots PWLHA-movement.

Sadly the 12th International Conference, LIVING2006, was cancelled due to a shortage of funding

GNP+ will be reviewing when to hold the next PLHIV conference.

The 11th International Conference for People Living with HIV/AIDS, took place in Kampala, Uganda, October 26 to 30, 2003. You can order hardcopies of the Kampala Conference report. Or download the report as a [story:pdf].

Parts of the original website are still live so you can read the backgrounder to the conference, as well as the conference declarations.

The 10th International Conference for People Living with HIV/AIDS took place in Trinidad, October 27 to 31, 2001. Please use the following link to access the web version of the final conference report. Here you will also find the conference document archives.

The 9th International Conference for People Living with HIV/AIDS took place in Warsaw, August 13 to 19, 1999. The documents of this conference are also still available online.

International AIDS Conferences

GNP+ has been a coorganizer of the International AIDS Conferences since the 1996 IAC in Vancouver. The 2002 edition in Barcelona as well as the Bangkok 2004 were a great success.

Upcoming

The next International AIDS Conference will take place August 13-19, in Toronto, Canada. For more information, please visit the AIDS 2006 website.
