PlusNews has updated its Country Profile service, adding an 'AIDS Programme' entry for a total of 36 countries. The new section provides a useful overview of each country's AIDS response. Based on UNAIDS and WHO data, it sets out clearly and succinctly the successes and existing challenges, providing a progress report that details the steps taken in tackling the pandemic and highlighting the critical issues that remain to be addressed.

PlusNews updates its Country Profiles at least annually, with currently covering 76 countries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Latin America. Plusnews is the HIV/AIDS news service of IRIN, the humanitarian news and analysis service of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
