From 3 - 8 August 2008 AIDS2008, the 17th International AIDS Conference will be held in Mecixo City. This conference organised by the International AIDS society is the largest international conference existing, and is held every other year. The conference expects to receive around 25,000 participants and 3,000 journalists.

To facilitate people from communities to participate in the conference, GNP+, ICASO and the International AIDS Society have produced a special Guide for Community Involvement . This guide highlights how to register and how to submit sessions. It also informs about issues for PLHIV around traveling to the conference and health issues during their stay in Mexico.
