The NGO Code of Good Practice was developed by NGOs, for NGOs, to help
guide our work by providing a framework to which we can commit and be
held accountable. Drawing on 20 years of knowledge and experience, the
Code sets out key principles, practice and evidence base required for
successful responses to HIV.
We are honoured to introduce the new Code Self-Assessment Tools! A series of self-assessment checklists that have been developed to
help you to measure where your programmes stand in line with Code
principles. In completing each module, you should be able to identify
areas in your programmes that are already at a good practice level, as
well as areas that can be developed and strengthened to meet the Code's
principles.
Put the Code's principles into practice -- Download the checklists
from the GNP+ library and assess how your NGO's programmes measure up to good practice
principles. There are more checklists and translations in development
so check back regularly!
