The Global Network of People living with HIV has reached a new stage of professionalism and is rebranding to recognize the progress made. GNP+ today announces a new logo.

The Global Network of People living with HIV (GNP+) has existed for almost a quarter century. Started as the International Steering Committee of people living with HIV in 1986, GNP+ has been the global network since 1992. GNP+ has continued to change over these years.

Despite many setbacks and thanks to many positive developments, GNP+ has moved from a conference organizer to a network of networks that listens to people living with HIV around the world and using their voices to shape advocacy. In more recent years GNP+ has reached a new stage of professionalism, becoming more accountable to people living with HIV worldwide. More than ever GNP+ work is developed, informed, and driven by people living with HIV and has a direct and immediate impact on their lives.

For example, GNP+ with its partners collects information on human rights violations against people living with HIV through the Human Rights Count; maps laws that harm the HIV response through the Global Criminalisation Scan; and leads on Positive Health, Dignity and Prevention, a new way of thinking which puts the person living with HIV at the center of the HIV response.

To recognize this progress made, GNP+ is rebranding and is proud to present our new logo.

To express pride in GNP+’s history and achievements of the past, the new logo uses the same trusted blue, yellow and red colors as the old logo. The modernized GNP letters meanwhile emphasize the changes in GNP+. A stylized globe shows the global mandate and impact of GNP+ work. The hand-drawn + brings in the human element and shows how much GNP+ is about people, and specifically people living with HIV.

GNP+ is looking forward to continue the fruitful cooperation between the different networks of people living with HIV and to make our work count to improve the quality of life of people living with HIV worldwide.
