Young People living with HIV Consultation
The Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP+) would like to announce a successful consultation of young people living with HIV (YPLHIV), in Amsterdam, June 7-9, held in partnership with the World AIDS Campaign (WAC). The consultation involved 35 YPLHIV from over 30 countries.
As a result of this consultation a peer elected Advisory Group has been formed, of 6 people from different regions. The YPLHIV Advisory Group has been established to support and guide the YPLHIV programme at GNP+ and provide valuable input into the programming of the WAC to ensure that the relevant advocacy reflects the lived experiences of YPLHIV. Members of the Advisory group are Maria Alekseeva (Russia); Katlego Kaboto (Botswana); Shawn Lee (Singapore); Emily Martin (UK); Tarek Slaoui (Morocco); and Pablo Torres Aguilera (Mexico).
The participants of the consultation wrote a statement to articulate their discussions and the priorities that emerged from the group. This statement is available in English, Français, Español and языках. (
