GNP+ presented 14 posters during the 2010 International AIDS Conference in Vienna. One of them was a presnetation on the results of the PLHIV Stigma Index in Belarus. In Belarus, as in many other places, accurately documenting the situation of Stigma amongst PLWH is very difficult due to lack of trust among ordinary population in general and even more so in PLWH communities in relation to taking part in social surveys and social activities. However we know that Stigma and discrimination are major issues for PLWH in Belarus in accessing prevention care and support, despite PLWH rights being guaranteed under a number of legislative documents, social procedures and mechanisms.
