AIDSImpact 2011: "More than a Virus"

AIDSImpact is the premier international conference of behavioral and social sciences related to HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care. AIDSImpact focuses on communities and countries hardest hit by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. AIDSImpact has been organized every two years since 1989 and nine conferences have been held to date. The 10th AIDSImpact conference will be located for the first time in the USA since the ban on immigration of HIV- infected persons to this country was lifted in 2009. It is also the first international AIDS conference to do so.

AIDSImpact 2011 - "More than a Virus" - will highlight psychosocial and behavioral sciences research and evaluation in the HIV/AIDS field, and recent advances in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care. It will also focus on remaining and emerging challenges for HIV prevention and care among highest risk populations. The location of the conference in Santa Fe will be an invitation to focus specifically on the HIV research and evaluation, prevention and care needs of native and cross-border populations. Thus, for the first time, AIDSImpact 2011 will have a parallel Spanish language track to provide easier access to Spanish-speaking countries, communities and researchers.

Registration to the conference is now open and the deadline for a very generous 'early bird' registration is December 31, 2010. Please visit the conference website at: www.AIDSimpact.com to register now.
