Lors d’une consultation technique internationale organisée par GNP+ et l’ONUSIDA en Tunisie en avril 2009, les personnes vivant avec le VIH ont travaillé avec la société civile, les agences gouvernementales, les agences de développement international, les co-parrainants de l’ONUSIDA et les agences des bailleurs de fonds pour développer le concept de « Santé positive, Dignité et Prévention » et établir les valeurs et les principes qui le sous-tendent.

La Santé positive, Dignité et Prévention met en lumière et en liaison les questions de traitement, de prévention, de soutien et de soins du VIH dans un cadre des droits humains.

La Consultation technique internationale fait partie d’un processus continu de renforcement du rôle de leadership des personnes vivant avec le VIH en Santé positive, Dignité et Prévention. D’autres consultations au niveau régional et avec les populations clés sont en cours afin d’établir une compréhension commune de la Santé positive, Dignité et Prévention et d’apporter des orientations dans l’élaboration de politiques et de programmes au plan mondial.

GNP+ and UNAIDS are developing Operational Guidelines on Positive Health, Dignity and Prevention

GNP+ and UNAIDS continue their partnership on Positive Health, Dignity and Prevention with the development of Operational Guidelines, expected to be completed by January 2012 (non-field tested version).

The Operational Guidelines will complement the Positive Health, Dignity and Prevention Policy Framework by providing programmatic guidance in operationalizing the policy work on the subject to date, as well indicators to measure impact, progress and outcomes. The draft guidelines will be reviewed by networks of people living with HIV, UNAIDS Secretariat and Cosponsors, civil society organisations, governmental bodies, donors and development agencies.

Positive Health, Dignity and Prevention highlights the importance of placing the person living with HIV at the centre of managing their health and wellbeing. As a step towards operationalising Positive Health, Dignity and Prevention, GNP+ and UNAIDS have developed Positive Health, Dignity and Prevention: A Policy Framework (January 2011). The Policy Framework provides the broad concepts that represent the first steps towards operationalising Positive Health, Dignity and Prevention.

Consultations with people living with HIV on PMTCT

From December 2010 to February 2011, GNP+ and ICW Global held a series of consultations with people living with HIV to gather their perspectives and personal experiences on how programmes and services that seek to prevent the transmission of HIV from a mother to a child should be organised and run. The recommendations from people living with HIV were shared with the Interagency Task Team (IATT) for Prevention of HIV Infection in Pregnant Women, Mothers, and their Children to support them in strengthening a strategic framework they are developing for the primary prevention of HIV among women of reproductive age and the prevention of unintended pregnancies among women living with HIV (components 1 and 2 of PMTCT).

Déclaration médiatique AIDS2010 : Santé positive, Dignité et Prévention

La réflexion sur la prévention du VIH avec les personnes vivant avec le VIH, connaît une véritable révolution. Le nouveau concept de « Santé positive, Dignité et Prévention » met l’accent sur l’amélioration et le maintien de la dignité de la personne vivant avec le VIH, ce qui a un impact positif sur la santé de la personne et crée, en retour, un environnement favorable qui réduira la probabilité de survenue de nouvelles infections à VIH.

GNP+, l’ONUSIDA et le gouvernement américain se concertent sur la Santé positive, Dignité et Prévention

GNP+, l’ONUSIDA et les agences du gouvernement américain – Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, le Ministère de la Défense et l’Agence américaine pour le développement international – se sont rencontrés à Genève les 21-22 octobre 2009 pour une concertation sur la Santé positive, Dignité et Prévention. Les trois parties travaillent sur la prévention du VIH avec les personnes vivant avec le VIH. Lors de cette rencontre, elles ont examiné les synergies, les différences et les complémentarités au niveau de leur travail programmatique sur la Santé positive, Dignité et Prévention.
