GNP+ is the global network for and by people living with HIV. GNP+ advocates to improve the quality of life of people living with HIV. As a network of networks, GNP+ is driven by the needs of people living with HIV worldwide. Based on emancipation and self-determination, GNP+ works with independent and autonomous regional and national networks of people living with HIV in all continents.
Under the central theme Reclaiming Our Lives!, GNP+ implements an evidence-informed advocacy programme focused on:

Thoughts about HIV prevention with people living with HIV has undergone a revolution. The new concept of 'Positive Health, Dignity and Prevention' focuses on improving and maintaining the dignity of the person living with HIV, which has a positive impact on the person's health, and which, in turn, creates and enabling environment that will reduce the likelihood of new HIV infections.
Statement on Austrian Laws Impacting People Living with HIV

Local and international organizers for the XVIII International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2010) look forward to welcoming delegates to Vienna this month.
As delegates plan their stay in Vienna, this short statement provides an overview of some Austrian laws that impact on people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV). The organizers of AIDS 2010 recommend that conference delegates read this statement to understand their legal position with respect to these areas of law. There are two key points in this statement:
- Intentional and negligent acts capable of transmission of HIV are criminal offences in Austria;
- Legal risks can be minimized through safer sex and safer injecting practices.

Namibia lifts travel restrictions against people living with HIV

International civil society and networks of people living with HIV welcome the formal announcement from the Namibian Minister of Home affairs, the Honourable Rosalia Nghidinwa, to remove from its Immigration Control Regulation all HIV related immigration barriers for people living with HIV.
With immediate effect, people living with HIV will not be barred from entering, staying or seeking residence in Namibia based solely on HIV positive status.
