GNP+ and the League of People Living with HIV of Moldova (national PLHIV network) held a meeting on 20 October 2009 in Chisinau, Moldova. The two organizations agreed to collaborate on the “HIV Leadership through Accountability programme” in Moldova for the period of 2010 to 2011. This work will include national rollout of five HIV mapping tools for and by PLHIV: GIPA Report Card, Global Criminalisation Scan, PLHIV Stigma Index, Human Rights Count! and SRHR of PLHIV Guidance Package.

GNP+ and the League of People Living with HIV of Moldova also participated in the World AIDS Campaign national campaigners workshop on 21-23 October 2009 in Chisinau, Moldova. The workshop was attended by representatives from diverse sectors in the national HIV response including the National Coordination Council on TB/HIV, NGOs, PLHIV networks, groups and networks of most-at-risk populations, faith based organizations, human rights institute, medical unions, IOM and UNAIDS.

During the workshop World AIDS Campaign and GNP+ presented the programme and held discussions with Moldovan civil society representatives on the advocacy priorities for civil society in the country.

The programme is currently implemented in Kenya, Nigeria and Zambia in collaboration with NEPHAK, NEPWHAN and NZP+ respectively. Collaboration between GNP+ and RECAP+, NEP+ and NAPWA in Cameroon, Ethiopia and South Africa respectively will commence in November 2009.
