“The greatest thing about networks is how the different layers and networks within the networks inform and strengthen each other,” says Shiba Puralaitpam, regional coordinator of the Asia Pacific Network of People living with HIV (APN+). “Working with GNP+ we are able to share what happens in our region, and feed into global forums, while we learn what happens in other regions.”
As a global network, we work closely with regional organisations. Some of these were set up by GNP+ in the beginning of this century and have since developed into fully independent networks. Others were founded by national networks or organisations seeking regional partnerships.
In Africa, six subregional networks of people living with HIV form the continental level Network of African People living with HIV (NAP+). These subregional networks exist in Central Africa, Eastern Africa, Indian Ocean Islands, North Africa, Southern Africa and Western Africa.
CRN+ is the authentic voice of Caribbean people living with HIV.
